Analysing an existing college magazine

Analysing an existing college magazine

Straight away when looking at this college magazine you can notice the upper class posh looking building in the backround. This suggests that this college magazine is made for successful students at the top level of education and from an upper class and wealthy backround. The text used on the magazine is simplistic but posh looking, especially the main title 'college' looks very upper class. The social status of the reader of this magazine I would assume would come under the category of A,B. This is because the college looks like it is on the top level of education and that it may be a private college so you have to pay to get in, thus you would most likely have to be from a wealthy family in order to aford the cost of attending. As for the colours used on the magazine, the text 'college' and 'class of'' are both in green which is a very neutral and clean colour, this colour is used throughout as the carefully trimmed greenery and the border to the left are also green. The rest of the text is white which once again suggests a neutral and clean feeling. These colors used aswell as the backround image of a upper class building and carefully trimmed greenery suggest that this magazine is for a very posh and upper class college, and its students are very intellectual and perfectionalists when it comes to the upper class culture.
